90's

The music of the 90s involved the search for new styles, for novelties in the musical scene. Many bands tried to recover classic rock styles, and others took care of the creation, taking advantage of new technological resources. Among the new appearances in the music of the 90s were the so-called "unplugged" records, where the best artists made music without using electric instruments. A new way of mixing songs and music came into use. It was the "remix", proving that any musical style could be remixed. These mixtures originated the appearance of one of the musical figures that have had the greatest impact over time: that of the DJ. By mixing, DJs generate new music, starting from another that already existed. In the new culture of dance venues, the figure of the DJ is essential, because he mixes and animates the public.
